Plumbing and Firefighting Design Engineer - 100% (m/f)

For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:


Plumbing and Firefighting Design Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)

The ideal candidate is a technically accomplished and delivery-focused mechanical engineer with 2-8 years of experience.


Responsibilities

  • Performing hydraulic calculations using Elite for fire calculation, designing procedures for different types of fire suppression systems and preparing calculations for plumbing systems.

  • Prepare detailed drawings Utilize CAD or Revit software to create layouts for fire suppression (sprinklers, hydrants) and plumbing systems (water supply, drainage...etc.).

  • Work with architects and other engineers to ensure MEP systems do not conflict with building structures.

  • Follow code requirements and common practices to produce highly efficient systems.
  • Equipment selection (Pumps and other system equipment).

  • Preparing submittals, technical documentation, technical specifications and material take-offs.

  • Coordination and delivery of major infrastructure and building projects, including underground structures, metro stations, tunnels, and large-scale facilities.

  • Ensure compliance with international and local codes and standards (NFPA, IPC, BS, EN, SBC and local civil defense codes, etc.).


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Design and coordination of building services and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Delivery across complex projects.
  • Balance of technical depth, multidisciplinary coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Candidates with exposure to infrastructure and transportation projects (such as railways or airports) or experience working on GCC-based projects will be given preference.
