-Supervise the installation of potable water, drainage, and sanitary plumbing systems, including PPR, PVC, UPVC, and copper piping, per approved shop drawings.

-Oversee the laying, jointing, and pressure testing of water supply lines, ensuring proper sizing, alignment, and leak-free connections.

-Install and inspect drainage systems, including soil, waste, and vent pipes, ensuring proper gradients and compliance with Dubai Municipality codes.

-Coordinate with MEP teams to integrate plumbing systems with HVAC condensate drains, fire suppression systems, and irrigation networks.

-Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests on water supply and drainage lines using pressure gauges and test pumps to verify system integrity.

-Supervise the installation of sanitary fixtures (e.g., toilets, sinks, showers) and ensure proper alignment, sealing, and connection to drainage systems.

-Install and test hot and cold water systems, including water heaters, pumps, and pressure-regulating valves, ensuring balanced flow and temperature control.

-Troubleshoot plumbing issues like blockages, leaks, or pressure drops using tools such as drain cameras, pressure testers, and pipe locators.

-Verify the installation of backflow preventers, check valves, and air vents to meet local health and safety standards.

-Monitor the use of specialized tools like pipe cutters, threading machines, and fusion welding equipment for precise and safe installations.

-Coordinate with storekeepers to ensure availability of materials like pipes, fittings, valves, and sealants, ensuring proper storage in Dubai’s high-temperature environment.

-Review and update as-built drawings, incorporating markups for pipe routes, fixture locations, and valve placements.

-Conduct flushing and chlorination of water supply systems, ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality water quality standards.

-Lead daily toolbox talks, emphasizing safe work practices for handling pressurized systems, working in confined spaces, and using PPE (e.g., safety goggles, gloves).

-Assign tasks to plumbers and helpers based on skill levels, ensuring efficient execution of tasks like pipe fabrication, fixture installation, and system testing.

-Train junior plumbers on proper pipe jointing techniques (e.g., solvent welding, compression fittings) and adherence to local plumbing codes.

-Resolve on-site technical issues, such as incorrect pipe sizing or improper venting, coordinating with consultants for solutions.

-Maintain daily logs of manpower, material usage, and work progress, submitting reports to the MEP site engineer.

-Ensure proper calibration and operation of testing equipment, such as pressure test pumps and flow meters, to meet project quality standards.

-Coordinate with subcontractors for specialized tasks like grease trap installation or sewage treatment plant connections.

-Mitigate risks of plumbing hazards by enforcing safe handling of chemicals (e.g., for chlorination) and ensuring proper shoring in trenches.
