Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented POS Officer to manage daily point-of-sale transactions and ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient payment processing at our beach outlets. This includes retail kiosks, food & beverage stations, and rental services. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, experience with POS systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

The POS Officer plays a key role in enhancing the guest experience by providing prompt and accurate service at every point of sale.

Key Responsibilities:

- Transaction Handling:

Process guest purchases accurately using the POS system, including sales, refunds, discounts, and payment by cash or card.

- Guest Interaction:

Provide friendly and professional customer service to beach guests, assisting with purchases, answering basic inquiries, and resolving minor issues at the point of sale.

- Cash Management:

Handle opening and closing of the cash register. Count and reconcile cash at the start and end of each shift, and ensure all transactions are balanced.

- System Accuracy:

Ensure that prices, product descriptions, and inventory are up to date and correctly entered in the POS system. Report any discrepancies or system errors promptly.

- Sales Reporting:

Generate and submit daily transaction reports, highlighting any inconsistencies or unusual activity to the supervisor or management.

- Equipment Handling:

Ensure POS devices are fully functional, clean, and charged throughout the shift.

- Coordination:

Work closely with the inventory and operations teams to ensure product availability aligns with system records and guest expectations.

- Compliance:

Follow all company policies related to financial transactions, discount handling, and customer service standards.

- Upselling and Promotions:

Inform guests about promotions or add-on services, and encourage additional sales when appropriate.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in cashiering, POS operation, or retail sales

- Proficient in using POS systems and handling cash and card payments

- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Able to work under pressure during peak hours

- Able to speak and write in English

- Comfortable working in an outdoor environment

Preferred:

- Experience working in a beach, resort, or outdoor hospitality setting

- Familiarity with inventory coordination or sales reporting

- Good English communication skills; Arabic and other languages are a plus

Work Environment:

This is an active, guest-facing role in a beach setting. The POS Officer must be able to work outdoors for extended periods, including weekends and holidays, and be prepared to operate in high temperatures and variable weather conditions.
