We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially driven Post-Contract Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in cost control of pre-assembled or modular structures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of post-contract cost management, including monitoring project expenditures, Generating BOM, Modular units cost analysis, and reporting, ensuring financial integrity and alignment with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage post-contract commercial activities for projects involving pre-assembled or modular structures (e.g., pontoons, precast, containerized units, prefab components).
- Track and control project costs against budget, forecast, and actual expenditures.
- Evaluate and administer subcontractor and supplier payments, variations, and claims.
- Review and validate invoices against delivery notes, progress reports, and procurement records.
- Assess and negotiate variations and change orders in collaboration with the project team.
- Provide accurate cost-to-complete forecasts and cost reports to senior management.
- Assist in the valuation of works completed on site and certify interim and final payments.
- Maintain cost records and support project audits and financial close-out procedures.
- Analyze project risks, delays, or cost impacts and propose mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with planning, procurement, and construction teams to ensure commercial objectives are met.
- Ensure compliance with the project’s contractual terms, including FIDIC or bespoke contracts, as applicable.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Minimum 8 -10 years of post-contract quantity surveying experience, preferably in marine, modular, or industrial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of pre-assembled construction methods and associated cost implications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, cost control software (e.g., Candy, Epromis, SAP), and MS Excel.
- Sound knowledge of standard forms of contract (FIDIC, NEC, etc.).
