Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Power Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automation solutions for power systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in protection systems, SCADA, substation automation, and communication protocols used in LV/MV power networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement Power Automation Systems including SCADA, Substation Automation (SAS), and Protection Systems.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, control schematics, and system architectures for LV/MV switchgear and power networks.
- Program and configure PLC, RTU, IEDs, and HMI/SCADA systems for power automation applications.
- Perform FAT, SAT, and commissioning of automation and protection systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation and power systems.
- Ensure compliance with IEC standards (IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5, Modbus, DNP3) and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Project, and Execution) to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and training material for clients.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 1–5 years of experience in Power Automation / Substation Automation / SCADA systems.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV switchgear, relays, protection schemes, and automation protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens, Schneider, ABB, or GE automation platforms.
- Familiarity with IEC 61850 engineering tools and system integration.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
