Power BI Engineer (Junio Data Scientist)

We are seeking a Power BI Engineer (Junior Data Scientist) to join our Data & Analytics team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing robust semantic data models, insightful reports, and dynamic interactive dashboards that empower data-driven decision-making. You will actively contribute to the full data science lifecycle, from data collection and preparation to exploratory analysis and visualization. This position involves close collaboration with our Data Science and Data Engineering teams to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. You will support the development of machine learning models and ensure that analytical findings are communicated effectively to diverse stakeholders. 🎯 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:

▸ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

▸ 2–4 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence (BI) or data analytics.

▸ Strong proficiency in designing and developing datasets, reports, and dashboards using Power BI (Desktop and Service).

▸ Advanced skills in DAX and Power Query (M language) for complex data modeling, calculations, and transformation.

▸ Strong working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and transformation, specifically with SQL Server and/or MySQL.

▸ Demonstrated ability to perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and trends.

▸ Experience in implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and performance tuning of Power BI reports.

▸ Basic familiarity with Python (Pandas, NumPy) for statistical analysis and supporting data science experiments.

✨ 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀:

▸ Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory or SSIS.

▸ Prior exposure to government programs, public sector analytics, or large-scale data platforms.

▸ Familiarity with other BI and visualization tools like Tableau.

▸ Knowledge of machine learning concepts and model validation processes.

▸ Proven ability to combine technical accuracy with strong user experience (UX) awareness in dashboard design.
