Power BI Reporting & Digital Tools Adoption Intern

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?


This internship focuses on developing and maintaining Power BI reports to support BA/SA NAM operations and improving site adoption of digital boards and reporting tools. The intern will partner with plant teams to build user-friendly reporting, deliver practical training, provide troubleshooting support, and help standardize a Plant Manager presentation slide deck to increase consistency and utilization across sites.

Essential Functions

  • Build and maintain Power BI reports that support BA/SA NAM reporting needs
  • Work with Plant Teams to drive adoption and regular use of Digital
  • Provide training sessions to plant users on how to use the Power BI reports and digital tools
  • Provide troubleshooting support and help resolve user issues with digital tools (report access, navigation, usability, etc.)
  • Help standardize reporting content into a repeatable Plant Manager deck format
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a two or four-year accredited degree program, preferably in Data Science; Industrial Engineering; Business/Data Analytics; Mgmt Information Systems, or related field
  • Build and maintain Power BI reports that support BA/SA NAM reporting needs
  • Work with Plant Teams to drive adoption and regular use of Digital Boards
  • Provide training sessions to plant users on how to use the Power BI reports and digital tools
  • Provide troubleshooting support and help resolve user issues with digital tools (report access, navigation, usability, etc.)
  • Help standardize reporting content into a repeatable Plant Manager deck format
  • Preferred: Familiarity with reporting governance / consistent layout and usability standards
  • Preferred: Interest in manufacturing operations reporting, KPI dashboards, and plant performance management (Power BI dashboard context appears in internal materials)
  • Preferred: Experience creating training materials, job aids, or user guides (Power BI user guidance exists internally as an example format)

The Saint-Gobain Abrasives North America location in Worcester, AM is looking for an intern who is available for a Power BI Reporting & Digital Tools Adoption internship for the summer, May-August 2026.

The internship provides professional development opportunities and valuable applied learning in a manufacturing production setting. The individual will work under the direction the BA/SA NA World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Manager.

This is an opportunity for an intern to get exposure to various aspects that they have learned in the classroom with the real-life experiences of activities at Saint-Gobain Bonded & Super Abrasives. This internship will also provide:
  • Hands-on experience building business-facing dashboards and operational reporting
  • Real practice in change adoption: training, support, and improving usability
  • Exposure to plant leadership reporting needs via standardized Plant Manager presentations

The hourly rate for internship positions ranges from $19.00 to $24.00 per hour. However, the actual rate provided is determined by the student’s and their degree program (Engineering or Other – Business, etc.).
