About the Job
The Power Platform UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing and standardizing user experiences across Power Apps and Power BI solutions. This role focuses on creating intuitive, responsive, and accessible interfaces that enhance usability and adoption across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. The position works closely with Power Apps developers, data teams, and platform stakeholders to translate business requirements into efficient UX flows and executive-ready analytics experiences aligned with governance and performance standards.
Responsibilities

Design and standardize UI/UX for Power Apps Canvas applications across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms, ensuring responsive layouts, consistent theming, and accessibility compliance.

Develop and maintain reusable UI components, templates, and design patterns (navigation, forms, dialogs, dashboards) to promote consistency, scalability, and faster app delivery.

Translate business requirements into intuitive and efficient UX flows, partnering with Power Apps developers to optimize screen performance, control usage, and delegation-friendly designs.

Design executive-ready Power BI reports with strong visual hierarchy, appropriate chart selection, and clean, professional layouts aligned with business objectives and audience needs.

Optimize Power BI user experience for performance, readability, and cross-device consumption while minimizing visual clutter and cognitive load.

Collaborate with data, analytics, and platform teams to align report UX with data models, semantics, and governance standards, ensuring accuracy and usability.

Ensure UX standards are documented and followed across Power Platform initiatives.

Review and provide feedback on existing apps and reports to continuously improve usability and visual quality.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.

4+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with strong exposure to Microsoft Power Platform solutions.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Power BI.

Strong understanding of responsive design principles, accessibility standards, and usability best practices.

Experience designing reusable components, design systems, and UX standards for enterprise applications.

Knowledge of connectors, APIs, and data integrations and how they impact UX and performance.

Familiarity with application lifecycle management (ALM) and Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with developers, data teams, and business stakeholders.
