Role Overview
We are seeking a PR & Marketing Specialist with proven experience working with museums, cultural institutions, and arts organizations. This role is ideal for a creative and strategic communicator who understands how to market cultural programs, engage diverse audiences, and build strong community and media relationships. Art & cultural experiences are a must.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute PR campaigns for museums and cultural clients, including press releases, media outreach, and press events.

  • Create and implement marketing strategies to increase attendance, memberships, and public awareness of exhibitions, events, and community programs.
  • Manage media relations with local and national outlets, particularly those covering arts, culture, and community initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure messaging aligns with their mission, brand voice, and goals.
  • Leverage social media, digital marketing, and community partnerships to enhance visibility and audience engagement.
  • Provide on-the-ground support at openings, press previews, and cultural events.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, providing reports and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in public relations, marketing, or communications, preferably within museums, cultural institutions, or the arts sector.
  • Strong network of media contacts in Los Angeles, especially in arts and culture.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience with social media management and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • A passion for arts, culture, and community engagement.
  • Local to Los Angeles strongly preferred, given the nature of client relationships and events.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Los Angeles, CA 90017
