Practice Lead – AI/IOT

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Offshore Practice Lead – AI/IoT will act as the deputy to the Sr. Practice Manager (AI/IoT), overseeing the offshore practice operations from Lahore. This role combines hands-on technical depth with leadership accountability. You will guide and mentor engineers, manage cross-project coordination, and represent AlphaBOLD in direct client engagements with US-based customers.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and mentor offshore engineers working across MERN/MEAN, .NET, IoT, and AI solutions.
  • Act as the primary offshore authority, ensuring smooth operations and alignment with US leadership.
  • Provide technical coaching and professional development support to Sr. Devs and Leads.
• Technical Excellence
  • Architect, design, and implement enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Review designs, code, and solution approaches to maintain quality standards.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI and IoT, guiding the practice’s technology direction.
• Client Engagement
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for US-based clients, capable of leading discussions independently.
  • Represent the offshore team in client reviews, workshops, and demos.
  • Translate business needs into technical roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Practice Growth
  • Partner with the US-based Practice Manager on practice strategy, hiring, and solution accelerators.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications Requirements:

• 10-15 years of professional experience in software development/consulting.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience managing technical teams or projects.
• Strong hands-on expertise in at least two of the following: MERN/MEAN, .NET, IoT, AI/ML.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and enterprise integrations.
• Proven client-facing communication skills with international (US preferred) customers.
• Ability to balance being a mentor, contributor, and delivery leader.
