Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles to foster holistic development.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and promote active learning experiences.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques to create a safe, respectful environment.
- Support children’s social-emotional growth by encouraging cooperation, communication skills, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with families to discuss children’s progress, address concerns, and provide guidance on early intervention strategies when needed.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, standardized testing results, and classroom activities to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, child welfare standards, and safety protocols in a daycare or preschool setting.
Skills
- Strong background in childhood development theories and early intervention practices.
- Proven experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within preschool or daycare environments.
- Expertise in working with children of diverse backgrounds, including special education needs.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods, literacy education techniques, and teaching physical education to young children.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively while fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods for early learners.
