Pre-K Teacher

Job Summary
Mt. Zion Christian School is seeking a passionate and devoted full-time Pre-K Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding in teaching foundational academic skills such as counting, letter sounds, handwriting and the development of fine motor skills. The ideal candidate will also have a strong desire to integrate faith with education in the classroom. This position involves instructional planning, teaching, classroom management, colleague collaboration, and parent communication.

• Treat each child as uniquely gifted by God
• Discipline all students fairly and firmly with an attitude of love
• Evaluate students’ progress with fairly applied criterion
• Demonstrate professional competence
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning
• Develop and implement lesson plans to cover the approved curriculum
• Challenge each student to grow to his or her maximum potential

Requirements

• Must be a born-again Christian who knows the Lord Jesus as his/her personal Savior
• Must hold a BA or BS from an accredited college or university. (Exemptions may be made for part-time or substitute teachers only by board and principal approval)
• Must hold a current certification in Wisconsin in the subject area or grade level for which the teacher is hired. (Exemptions made only by the board and principal approval)
• Must be an active member of a Bible believing church whose fundamental beliefs are in agreement with the tenets of Faith of Mt. Zion Christian Church
• Must agree with the Tenets of Faith of MZCS, and the Mission Statement and Philosophy of MZCS
• Must manifest by precept and example the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, living to a high standard of Christian conduct

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
