Pre-K Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-K Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their early childhood development journey. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will help children develop essential literacy, math, and social skills through innovative lesson planning and hands-on activities. As a Pre-K Teacher, you will be instrumental in fostering a love of learning while ensuring each child's safety, welfare, and individual needs are met with care and professionalism.

Duties

  • Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans that incorporate early intervention strategies, literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods to support diverse learning styles.
  • Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages positive behavior management, social interaction, and emotional well-being.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and informal observations to tailor instruction effectively.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate developmental milestones, behavioral observations, and progress reports regularly.
  • Manage classroom routines efficiently to ensure a safe, organized space conducive to active learning and exploration.
  • Incorporate inclusive practices for children with special education needs or those requiring additional support in childcare or toddler care settings.
  • Plan engaging lessons that promote literacy skills, numeracy understanding, physical activity, and overall childhood development aligned with early childhood education standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare environments; prior classroom management experience is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development tools including Montessori methods and standardized testing procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with diverse needs including special education considerations.
  • Certification or degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, safety protocols, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Pay: From $47,000.00 per year
