Location: Legacy ICSE School, Borivali Branch, Mumbai

About the Role

A Legacy ICSE School, Borivali, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-Primary Teacher to foster foundational skills, social development, and creativity in young learners (ages 3–5). The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience, and a strong commitment to delivering early childhood education in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
• Create a warm and stimulating classroom atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to explore and learn.
• Employ a variety of teaching methods and activities including storytelling, play-based learning, music, art, and physical movement.
• Observe, assess, and monitor each child’s progress; maintain developmental records and share updates with parents.
• Communicate openly with parents during meetings and through regular feedback, fostering positive home-school interactions.
• Ensure the physical safety and emotional well-being of every child at all times; uphold health, hygiene, and safety standards in the classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning, school events, and professional development sessions.
• Instill social values, group etiquette, and good habits through daily routine and structured activities.
• Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
• Participate actively in school celebrations, workshops, and parental engagement programs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduation with NTT/ECCE/DED or equivalent Early Childhood Education qualification (mandatory).
• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in an ICSE/recognised pre-primary setting preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English; strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.
• Creativity, patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
• Familiarity with play-based learning techniques and inclusive education practices.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word/Excel) is desirable.
