PreK-1 Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PreK-1 Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curricula that promote early childhood education, literacy, math, and social-emotional growth. Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active participation
  • Use effective classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and foster respectful interactions among students
  • Incorporate curriculum development techniques focused on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists in special education or early intervention to support diverse learning needs
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools and informal observations to monitor student progress and inform instruction
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, toddler care, classroom management, and childcare best practices

Qualifications

  • Prior classroom experience working with preschool or early elementary students in a daycare or private school setting with babies
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and early intervention strategies
  • Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports children with diverse learning needs including special education considerations
  • Passion for working with children and commitment to their welfare and holistic growth
