Prep Technician

Job Summary

A state-of-the-art quartz manufacturing company, located in Sealy, TX, comprised of enthusiastic, passionate team members, with the belief that if you give 100% effort, you will grow and you will succeed. A Prep Technician Will Comply with all safety, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company. The ideal candidate will have a professional attitude & appearance and be self-motivated, hardworking, dependable, and responsible.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Always follows company safety rules during working hours and ensures the safety of himself/herself and others at his/her operating station.
Ability to demonstrate comprehension of positional work instructions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Works in a professional manner, punctual and highly dependable.
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
Able to work overtime including weekends.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Good communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
Able to follow directions and carry out instructions.
Able to effectively work in a team environment.
Required to wear a full-face respirator.
Ability to work in confined spaces.

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to wear PPE and Maintain company safety policies (Eye Protection, Hearing Protection, Respirator, and Steel Toe Shoes).

Education:

High School Graduate or GED

Physical Job Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl & balance.
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to push/pull up to 100lbs.
Work in a non-climate-controlled environment
