Job Description:

Overview:

Crown Beverage Packaging North America has just opened our state-of-the art Graphics Studio in Ambler, Pennsylvania. The studio was built to provide Crown’s Beverage Division and customer base with the necessary support and graphics development in one central location. It is designed to be a customer showcase where customers can be educated on the can making process from start to finish. We are assembling a world class team of individuals to operate this facility; this is a unique opportunity to join our team.

Position Summary:

The Prepress Designer/Color Separator will provide graphic/prepress support by color separating and setting up digital art files according to production specifications for aluminum can printing at Crown’s various manufacturing locations as well as providing support for other team members including proofreading/quality checks for accuracy and print-readiness.

Requirements:

Requirements for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • In-depth understanding and experience in color separation and offset printing.
  • 3-5 years of working experience in a graphics/prepress field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
  • Experience with manual (digital) trapping and digital proofing.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to develop and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Esko workflow and Automation Engine experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask while meeting deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, administrative ability, and team building attributes.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or a related area is preferred.
  • Limited domestic travel may be required.
