Presales Engineer

Position Announcement: Presales Engineer – Software (Arabic Speaker)

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Role Duties –

IoT and Smart City Solutions:

1. Solution Design and Proposal Development:

• Analyze RFPs and tender documents to understand IoT and Smart City solution requirements.
• Design end-to-end solutions, coordinating with OEMs to ensure technical compliance.
• Prepare technical write-ups, detailed cost estimations, and initial tender documentation.

1. Technical and Financial Preparation:

• Develop BOQs, specifications, and drawings tailored to IoT and Smart City projects.
• Select materials and components from diverse supplier portfolios to meet tender criteria.
• Ensure all quotations align with project specifications and client expectations.
• Generate comprehensive financial proposals and oversee the preparation of technical submissions.

1. Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:

• Prepare comparison sheets for rates and quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Establish and maintain a list of qualified vendors specializing in IoT and Smart City solutions.

1. Project and Contract Analysis:

• Study tender documents to assess the scope, risks, and contractual requirements for IoT and Smart City projects.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and break down BOQ items for accurate cost estimation.

1. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with design teams to prepare presentations, renders, and technical data sheets tailored to IoT and Smart City solutions.
• Finalize commercial and technical offers, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and specifications.
• Facilitate communication with internal departments, bidders, and contractors.

1. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain organized tender files and archive them upon completion.
• Regularly prepare tender status reports and update timelines as required.
• Monitor changes in contractual requirements and communicate updates effectively.

Job Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering with a strong ICT background.
• Experience: 6-8 years in presales or related roles, with a focus on IoT and Smart City solutions.

Skills:

• Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation abilities.
• Strong technical solution understanding and presentation skills.
