Presales Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Presales Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and strong client-facing abilities. This role combines technical knowledge with consultative skills, supporting sales by designing cloud architectures, performing resource sizing, and creating client-ready adoption plans. As a trusted advisor, you will present, justify, and defend your solutions, aligning best practices with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure solutions
• Develop and document cloud architecture diagrams, covering compute, networking, storage, identity, and security
• Engage with clients to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into effective cloud solutions
• Present and pitch solutions to technical and non-technical audiences, including stakeholders and executives
• Defend architectural decisions using Azure-native capabilities and industry best practices
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover from presales to implementation
• Stay current with Azure advancements and continuously evolve your technical skill set

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, identity, and security)
• Strong understanding of Azure Pricing Calculator, TCO analysis, and cost optimization strategies
• Proven experience creating architecture diagrams using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or similar
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; able to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
• Demonstrated consultative and client-facing experience, especially in presales or solution design
• Knowledge of cloud governance, compliance, and landing zone concepts
• Self-driven, independent, and passionate about continuous learning
• Azure certifications (AZ-305 or AZ-104) are a plus

Nice to Have

• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep)
• Background in systems engineering, enterprise IT, or cloud migration projects
