The Corner Co-op Nursery School, a parent cooperative preschool in Brookline, MA, since 1972, is seeking part-time Preschool and Toddler Program Teachers, both as regularly scheduled teachers and as substitutes.We are located in the lower level of All Saints Parish at 1773 Beacon Street. As a parent cooperative, we embrace our collaboration with families to support children as they learn about the world around them. We respect the perspectives of young and old. We see the staff as a resource to children and families as we all learn together how to make connections and experience life. Families are encouraged stay in the classroom with their children if they would like to do so.

We have two programs: the Preschool Program has a capacity of 20 children, ages 2 years 9 months to 5 years, and the Toddler program, with a capacity of 9 children, ages 15 months to 2 years 9 months. Our hours are 8am - 2pm, but some children stay only until noon while others stay for our lunch program from 12-2pm. We follow the Brookline Public Schools calendar and are in operation from September - June, and also have a separate summer program that runs part-time in July and August that teachers are welcome to participate in as well.

We are seeking both Preschool and Toddler Teachers to join us who are enthusiastic, flexible, and compassionate. We have an indoor space, a private courtyard, and easy access to an abutting park and playground. We have need for teachers who are looking for consistent hours each week as well as teachers who can serve as substitutes on an as-needed basis. Teachers could start during our summer program in July/August 2026 or in September 2026.

Qualifications:

• EEC certified Preschool Teacher, or in the process of becoming one
• 1 year of infant/toddler/preschool teaching experience
• Resilience and comfort working in an ever-changing environment
• Collaborative spirit and a proactive attitude when working in teams

About the position:

• Requires a commitment of 8-20 hours per week
• Pay rate is based upon qualifications and experience.
