Preschool Assistant Teacher

The Assistant Preschool Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves helping plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in alignment with the school’s curriculum and philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities and routines.
• Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
• Help prepare and organize learning materials, supplies, and classroom spaces.
• Support children’s individual learning needs and encourage positive behavior.
• Participate in circle time, storytelling, art, music, and outdoor play activities.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with children, staff, and parents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom and common areas.
• Assist with documentation, attendance, and child progress reports as needed.
• Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations and center policies.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to create a warm, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
