Preschool Floater Teacher position for summer and Preschool 2's Teacher for fall

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Preschool Floater Teachers for our summer programs and Preschool 2’s Teachers for the fall semester. These roles are vital in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. As a Floater Teacher, you will provide flexible support across classrooms, ensuring smooth daily operations and enriching the children's experiences. The Preschool 2’s Teacher will lead a dedicated classroom, fostering early childhood development through innovative lesson planning and interactive activities. Both positions offer rewarding opportunities to make a positive impact on children's growth and learning during their formative years.

Responsibilities

  • Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating environment for children
  • Engage children in literacy education, math activities, physical education, and creative play to promote holistic development
  • Assist with toddler care, behavior management, and classroom routines to foster positive social interactions
  • Collaborate with team members to develop lesson plans that incorporate Montessori principles and standardized testing when appropriate
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress and classroom activities
  • Support children with special education needs through early intervention strategies and individualized attention when necessary

Experience

  • A minimum of 12 ECE units and at least one year teaching experience
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices, including behavior management techniques
  • Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy or math education programs
  • Familiarity with early intervention methods and special education accommodations is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families
  • Previous experience in private schools or daycare environments is advantageous
  • Background in teaching physical education or tutoring young children is beneficial

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
