Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula, promote positive behavior, and support the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of preschool children. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional development.
  • Manage daily classroom activities to ensure a structured yet flexible environment conducive to learning and play.
  • Implement behavior management strategies that promote positive interactions and respect among children.
  • Assess individual student progress through observations, standardized testing where appropriate, and ongoing evaluations; adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in team meetings to share best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's development, milestones, and classroom events through regular updates and conferences.
  • Support children with special needs or those requiring early intervention by coordinating with specialists and integrating inclusive practices into daily routines.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and other documentation required for compliance and program quality assurance.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all children by adhering to childcare regulations, health protocols, and safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with preschool-aged children in educational or childcare settings; prior classroom management experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, literacy education, math instruction, and early intervention strategies.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development methods including Montessori approaches is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and developmental needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Experience working with children who have special needs or require additional support is preferred.
  • Certification in early childhood education or related fields; additional training in special education or toddler care is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while managing classroom routines efficiently.
  • Knowledge of childcare regulations, health standards, and child welfare practices applicable in licensed early childhood programs. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
