Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curricula that promote early childhood education, literacy, social-emotional growth, and physical development. Your leadership will ensure a safe, inclusive space where children feel valued, supported, and excited to explore the world around them. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives while collaborating with a team of committed educators.

Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori methods and other curriculum frameworks
  • Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills development
  • Implement age-appropriate activities focusing on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and creative arts
  • Manage daily classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and individualized support for children with special needs or in early intervention programs
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides to ensure consistent quality of care and instruction
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental milestones and tailor lesson plans accordingly

Skills

  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies
  • Proven experience in preschool settings with strong classroom management skills
  • Expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education
  • Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs, including children requiring special education support
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and community partners
  • Strong understanding of behavior management techniques to foster positive social interactions
  • Familiarity with childcare regulations, daycare standards, and private school requirements
  • Experience in lesson planning, tutoring, standardized testing administration, and classroom experience in early childhood education
