Position

We are seeking A dedicated and passionate early childhood teacher to join our team of educators working with children ages 2 to 6 years. A Teacher who teaches our preschool class (3-5 years old) daily. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a deep understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy and nature-based education.

We seek candidates who have:

● A deep respect for children as capable learners

● Flexible and creative

● Experience with (or openness to learning) the Reggio Emilia approach and best

teaching practices

● Experienced in nature-based or outdoor classroom environments

● Exceptional rapport with young children

● Strong written, collaboration and oral communication skills

● Positive and open-minded

● Happy in collaborative environments with families and educators

● Lifelong learners

Required Qualifications

1. Possess 16 units or A.A. degree in Child Development/ECE

2. Eligible to possess a valid Teacher Permit

3. At least 4 years of teaching children ages 2-5 years of age in a preschool setting

4. TB Clearance, record of flu shots, and immunization record as stipulated by Title 22

5. CPR and First Aid for Infants/Toddlers/Adults

Preferred:

● Possess a B.A/B.S in a related field (Child Development, Psychology, Education, Family Studies) and 12 or more units in ECE

● At least 2 years teaching children ages 2-5 years of age in a preschool setting

● Significant knowledge and experience with the Reggio Emilia Approach

Compensation

· Pay range: $20-$25 per hour. Depending on education and experience
