Preschool Teacher

Here at St. Luke’s Preschool, we are seeking an experienced preschool teacher to join our team! You will be working and teaching 2-3 year old's. You will be a part of a team who thrives on communication and helping children learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities:

• Ability to multitask.
• Able to engage children in meaningful learning activities.
• Assist children with developing social and emotional skills.
• Able to establish strong relationships with children and their families.
• Reliable, flexible and strong communication skills are a must.
• Able to create and have ideas come to life.
• Assess students’ skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones.
• Must be able to work with a wide variety of parenting styles.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or AA degree is desired but not required.
• 12 ECE units, (331, 1A, 1B) – must also have infant toddler units.
• Must have or complete CPR, Mandated reporter certificate, and Pesticide certificate upon hiring date.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
