Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Montessori methods, childhood development, and classroom management. This role offers an opportunity to foster a nurturing learning environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and academic growth for young learners. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for designing engaging lesson plans, implementing curriculum, and supporting the individual needs of each child in a respectful and caring manner.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate Montessori curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes literacy, math, and overall childhood development.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social-emotional growth.
  • Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management, and student assessment.
  • Support children with special education needs and early intervention strategies to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare documentation for standardized testing and reporting requirements.
  • Foster positive communication with parents regarding child welfare, progress, and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs and participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education and Montessori practices.
  • Ensure safety standards are upheld within the classroom and throughout the facility.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Montessori educational principles and curriculum development.
  • Experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Familiarity with special education techniques, early intervention strategies, and behavior management.
  • Expertise in childhood development, classroom management, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy education.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs and utilize standardized testing results for instructional improvement.
  • Prior experience in daycare settings or private schools is preferred.
  • Proficiency in math instruction within early childhood contexts is advantageous. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
