Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies to promote a respectful and cooperative atmosphere.
• Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support ongoing learning at home.
• Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, behavioral incidents, and developmental milestones in compliance with childcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention practices, and behavior management techniques.
• Familiarity with curriculum development.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that foster physical activity, cognitive growth, and social-emotional skills.
• Certification or coursework in early childhood education. Forty hours of state hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
