Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum development, with a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth for preschoolers. Experience with special education, early intervention, and literacy education is highly valued. The Preschool Teacher will play a vital role in fostering curiosity, encouraging exploration, and supporting the overall welfare of our young learners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with educational standards and developmental goals.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and growth.
- Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, instruction, and assessment of student progress.
- Incorporate diverse teaching methods such as Montessori techniques, physical education, and literacy activities to cater to various learning styles.
- Utilize behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills among children.
- Support children with special needs through early intervention strategies and individualized attention.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop educational programs that support childhood development and child welfare.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental progress in compliance with licensing requirements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education best practices.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices is required.
- Experience developing curricula that incorporate literacy education, math skills, and standardized testing preparation is preferred.
- Background in special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized teaching approaches such as tutoring or teaching physical education enhances candidacy.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within the educational setting.
