Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to preschoolers' developmental stages, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create engaging lesson plans that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among young learners.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to support social-emotional development and address individual student needs.
- Assess children's progress through observations and standardized testing; adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other staff to support each child's welfare and educational journey.
- Incorporate early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards.
- Foster communication skills through storytelling, group activities, and interactive play.
- Support children’s physical development by integrating physical education into daily routines.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience with curriculum development across various domains including literacy, math, and physical education.
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques to maintain an organized and respectful environment.
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with standardized testing methods and assessment tools for preschoolers.
- Experience working in daycare settings or private schools is preferred.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is a plus.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate tutoring techniques when needed.
- Compassionate attitude towards child welfare with a focus on nurturing growth in all areas of development.
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
