Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and child development. This role involves designing engaging lesson plans, fostering social-emotional growth, and supporting children's educational needs through innovative teaching methods. Experience with curriculum development, special education, and early intervention strategies is highly valued. The Preschool Teacher will play a vital role in shaping the foundational skills of our students, ensuring their well-being and academic readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to preschoolers' developmental stages, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Create engaging lesson plans that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among young learners.
  • Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to support social-emotional development and address individual student needs.
  • Assess children's progress through observations and standardized testing; adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other staff to support each child's welfare and educational journey.
  • Incorporate early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards.
  • Foster communication skills through storytelling, group activities, and interactive play.
  • Support children’s physical development by integrating physical education into daily routines.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Experience with curriculum development across various domains including literacy, math, and physical education.
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques to maintain an organized and respectful environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing methods and assessment tools for preschoolers.
  • Experience working in daycare settings or private schools is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is a plus.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate tutoring techniques when needed.
  • Compassionate attitude towards child welfare with a focus on nurturing growth in all areas of development.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
