Preschool Teacher

Go N Play #2 in Conroe, TX is looking for a two year old teacher to join our team. This teacher needs to be dependable, caring and fun loving!

The hours for this position are 9:30am-6:30pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous supervision of children in the classrooms, play areas, common areas, and on the playground to ensure their health and safety.
• Implementing developmentally appropriate activities for all ages in care.
• Ensure children behave well when in contact with others.
• Supervise and lead the activity areas.
• Follow daily schedule.
• Ensures that all safety precautions are taken when receiving and releasing children to the parent/guardian.
• Follow all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe.
• Observe, record, and communicate any significant behaviors of children.
• Maintain an open, friendly, and cooperative relationship with each child and family.
• Change diapers and assist with potty training.
• Help children eat during snack and meal times, and rest time during quiet times.
• Assist with cleaning.
• Maintain a clean and safe physical environment for children. (cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and be 18 years of age. Or must be in a high school work study program relating to the area of child care.
• Must be able to obtain 24 clock hours of training annually. (8 must be completed before hire)
• Must be able to communicate well with children.
• Excellent verbal communication with parents required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to problem solve in varying situations.
• Must be professional, patient, positive, dependable, flexible, and most importantly, should love working with children.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
