Preschool Teacher's Aides

• Minimum requirements: High School Diploma, 18+ years of age.
• Ability to clear a drug screening, background and fingerprint check.
• Ability to relate positively with young children.
• Ability to effectively perform activities with young children and to effectively supervise children.
• Ability to work independently and interdependently while maintaining the highest level of self-control, patience as well as a positive attitude and behavior with young children.
• Ability to exhibit sound judgment when or if the need arises for you to notify supervisors of matters that merits their attention.
• Ability to effectively communicate by means of written skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment particularly in a crisis situation.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds. Physical stamina -- must be able to bend, stand, sit on the floor and keep up with young children.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in the workplace including but not limited to the ability to communicate with students, parents, and others effectively and professionally.
• Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
• Must meet basic requirements of a child care regulatory agency to maintain a safe environment for children.
• Ability and/or willingness to learn and implement early childhood education through knowledge of developmental needs of young children based on education, previous work experience, or as a parent or caregiver of children.
• Punctual, dependable, patient, enthusiastic, flexible.
• Previous teaching with a quality preschool, child care center, summer day camp or church nursery for at least 1 year preferred.
• Reliable transportation and the desire to work in a positive and motivating environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour
