Position Title: Pricing Manager

Location: Fenton, MO

Department: Sales & Marketing

Position reports to: Sr. Director of Marketing and Business Planning

Primary purpose and function of position:

Ensure all products are set up and priced strategically to maximize profitability, remain competitive in the market, and in alignment with overall business objectives

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Optimize revenue and profitability
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities to increase sales, distribution, profitability and provide recommendations to management
  • Responsible for setting up all new items in VIP/RAS
  • Oversee price reporting system (new items, UPC’s, frontline prices, monthly promotional frequency, duration, etc)
  • Maintain and communicate monthly pricing internally and externally
  • Monitor supplier costs and facilitate adjustments accordingly
  • Maintain and analyze VIPR promotion price reporting via BudNet.
  • Fill out monthly pricing contracts and new items forms for chains
  • Track and log weekly ad activity from grocery chains and complete market price surveys
  • Conduct Margin Analysis, Breakeven Analysis, and Price Point analysis as needed
  • Perform all new package communication along with all discontinued brands, packages, etc.
  • Comply with all Wholesaler Equity Agreement requirements, Grey Eagle and supplier standards and policies
  • Adhere to all Federal, State and Local liquor regulations
  • Performs related duties and responsibilities as required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Excellent computer skills required including advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with VIP (Vermont Information Processing) a plus
  • Prior pricing, budgeting and/or inventory experience a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills, including ability to utilize and integrate data from various sources, accurately interpret data and appropriately apply findings to business issues.
  • Excellent customer service & problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Leadership skills – ability to interact with key accounts, buyers & decision-makers
  • Highly self-motivated, strong initiative & follow-through
  • Project a friendly, courteous and professional image with a positive attitude
  • Regular and reliable attendance required
  • Ability to pass a required pre-employment background and drug screening
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions and duties as assigned
