Pricing Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS

· B.A. or B.Sc. degree from a reputable university in actuarial science, mathematics, engineering and statistics or similar background requiring modeling, programming or quantitative analysis,

· Minimum 2 years experience in actuarial departments specialized in pricing,

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills,

· Good command of communication skills,

· Proven ability to work in a team-environment and service internal clients, set up projects proactively,

· Result oriented,

· Strong Technical Skills – prefer strength in at least one of: SQL, Phyton, R,

· Using tools such as Emblem/Radar is preferred,

· Intermediate knowhow of GLM,

· Very good command of both written and spoken in English,

· Very good command of MS Office applications,

· No military obligation for male candidates (or minimum 2 years postponed).

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Analyzes available data to determine relationships, trends, and issues.

· Analyzes external and internal data to build and validate technical pricing models

· Participates in the development of business recommendations and analysis of strategies

· Analyzes data for the development of rates, rating plans, pricing strategies, reserve programs, financial forecasts, and responses to insurance regulators.

· Coordinates, prepares and performs actuarial analyses to assist in the development of complex actuarial formulations leading to the recommendation of pricing strategies.

· Works with the department to prepare the actuarial response and communication for results of actuarial research to Business Unit product management areas.
