Primary Design Engineer

Algihaz Holding is looking for a talented Primary Design Engineer to join our team in Cairo. This on‑site role.

What you’ll do

Design of electrical power substations. This includes preparing drawings such as Layout, Sections, and details for substations as well as grounding, reinforcement layout, and Cable Routing plans.
Develop and evaluate conceptual substation design options to initiate transmission and distribution system projects.
Perform engineering analysis/calculations to support substation designs, including but not limited to grounding analysis per standards, and shielding studies for lightning protection, AC/DC Load calculation, Raceway and Openings.
Coordinate substation construction package detailing foundation and electrical designs with civil team.
Identify, specify, and requisition all required substation materials required to build the substation with a working knowledge of substation equipment including but not limited to equipment’s, grounding cable routing, Cables & transformers.
Provide technical assistance during the construction of projects.
Follow up on daily basis with the design submittal approval.
Participate in design meetings and provide continual input to optimize the design and minimize futile work.
Prepare bill of quantities.
