Job Title: Design Manager - Primary

Sector/Business Line: ElSewedy T&D.

Job Location: Cairo, Egypt

Accountabilities:

• Follow up the design activities for all types of substation (medium and high voltage substations (AIS-GIS) through in-house design and/ or external consultants.
• Follow up the calculations & bill of materials (BOQ).
• Technical support for Project Dept., and construction department during project execution.
• Full authorization to coordinate with and follow up with the other concerned parties (Clients, Consultants, Other Company Departments, Primary Design Offices, Governmental Authorizations) to ensure that coordination for primary activities has been taken into consideration. And to be sure that the recommendations written will not have a severe impact on the project budget.
• Review the client's technical specifications, any other documents, drawings, and calculations to activate the design project process, highlighting the expected risk factors, claims, variation, and questionnaires to be sure that the design criteria, optimization of design, and the final bill of quantity will fall within the project budget. Drawings to be checked prior to issuing it to the client for approval.
• Full authorization to keep the records, prepare the meeting with the Client, Primary Design Office Consultant, Site visits to provide technical support.
• Full authorization to develop the design analysis process and layout options which conform to the customer’s specification and to optimize the project quantities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: B.Sc. in Electrical Power and Machine Department.

Years of Experience: 15+ years of experience, 10+ years of experience in the same field.

Language: Fluent English & Arabic

Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Autodesk AutoCAD.

Technical Competencies:

• Ability to adapt required technical solutions according to project requirements within the budget of the project.
• Technical and business acumen.
• Plan and follow up to conduct the required assignments.
• Assists with the review and evaluation of personnel performance.
• Ensure cooperation with other departments, divisions, and organizations.
