Principal Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Techno-Functional Consultant – Healthcare

Position Summary

We are seeking a Principal Dynamics 365 Business Central Techno-Functional Consultant to lead design, implementation, and integration of Business Central solutions with healthcare and ERP platforms. This senior role demands strong expertise in both functional consulting and technical solution architecture, with the ability to guide enterprise clients through system design, deployment, and process optimization.

You will be responsible for leading cross-functional implementation teams, integrating Business Central with external healthcare systems (EMR, billing, inventory), and ensuring HIPAA and regulatory compliance. This is a fully remote, client-facing consulting role.

Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Implementation

• Lead end-to-end implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, from discovery to go-live.
• Configure financials, supply chain, inventory, and operations modules for multi-entity healthcare and distribution clients.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, compliant BC solutions.
• Develop and manage extensions using AL language and the Power Platform to enhance system capabilities.

Integration & Automation

• Architect and implement integrations between Business Central, EMR/EHR, and telehealth systems using APIs, Azure Logic Apps, or Data Factory.
• Automate key business processes (billing, inventory sync, purchase orders, and patient service workflows).
• Collaborate with CRM and data teams to align BC with Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, and Power BI dashboards.

Client & Project Leadership

• Conduct workshops and requirement sessions with U.S.-based healthcare and operations leaders.
• Lead offshore technical and functional consultants through agile delivery cycles.
• Develop documentation, SOPs, and provide training to client teams.
• Ensure projects meet quality, compliance, and performance benchmarks.

Governance & Compliance

• Design and maintain HIPAA-compliant data workflows and access controls.
• Implement audit-ready documentation for data lineage and transaction traceability.
• Ensure Business Central deployments adhere to healthcare data protection and financial integrity standards.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of Dynamics 365 experience, with at least 4 years focused on Business Central/NAV.
• Technical: Proficiency in AL, API integrations, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Azure Logic Apps.
• Functional: Deep knowledge of finance, supply chain, and operations modules in BC.
• Integration: Proven track record integrating BC with CRM, EHR/EMR, or accounting systems.
• Healthcare: Understanding of FHIR, HL7, or healthcare billing workflows preferred.
• Leadership: Experience managing technical teams and client stakeholders.
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills for collaboration with U.S. clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant or Developer Associate.
• Data Platforms: Familiarity with SQL Server, Azure Synapse, or Snowflake.
• Industries: Experience across healthcare, life sciences, or multi-entity financial operations.
• Methodologies: Agile/Scrum project delivery experience.

Contract Details

• Type: 3-month renewable contract (with potential for full-time engagement).
• Compensation: USD $25,000 – $30,000 per contract period (performance-based renewal).
• Clients: U.S.-based healthcare, distribution, and ERP modernization clients.
• Remote Work: 100% remote (reliable internet required).
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.
