Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, Strategic Deterrent Systems division has an opening for a Principal Multimedia Designer/ Sr Principal Multimedia Designer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Division Capture Excellence team in our Huntsville, Alabama or Roy, Utah facility. Secret clearance level required to start. The selected candidate must be able to work on site and be willing and able to travel if needed (up to 10%).

Candidates for this position will demonstrate a broad skill set that is balanced across leadership, collaboration, innovation, communication, project management, risk management, and proposal-based capabilities. Customer satisfaction is a top priority, and qualified candidates must have demonstrated experience working multiple projects simultaneously, performing to tight deadlines, possess excellent project management and time management skills, detail oriented, and solid communication skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Support the Capture and Proposal Manager in development of efficient and effective proposal execution plans in response to solicitations from U.S. Government and other customers.
Understand proposal operation’s role and responsibility within the Government Acquisition process
Work with the Capture and Proposal Manager and core team to develop the compliant proposal deliverables.
Provide support to the proposal team in conceiving, designing, laying out, and coordinating illustrations and artwork to support the proposal response.
Create graphic presentations that communicate mood, emphasis, insight, viewpoint, and similar visual impressions.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality design standards.
Stay up-to-date and provide guidance with industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to design.
Create graphic presentations that communicate mood, emphasis, insight, viewpoint, and similar visual impressions.
Manage responsibilities independently with minimal or no day-to-day supervision.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal level or Sr. Principal level.
Principal Multimedia Designer: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field with 5 years of related experience OR a Master's Degree with 3 years OR 4 additional years in lieu of degree of related experience
Sr Principal Multimedia Designer: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field with 8 years of related experience OR a Master's Degree with 6 years OR 4 additional years in lieu of degree of related experience
Required for Both Levels:
Experience working with authors and SMEs to understand vision of individual graphics and to understand and incorporate changes required changes and updates from the author
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
A strong online portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and creative concepts
Active DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a defense/aerospace environment
Experience supporting large captures / proposals including written and oral presentations
Experience supporting competitive and sole source proposals with values greater than $50M
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
Excellent oral and written communication skills and keen attention to detail

Primary Level Salary Range: $71,600.00 - $147,800.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
