Position Summary

The Principal Water Consultant will lead consulting assignments on water supply, treatment, desalination, and reuse projects. The role blends technical mastery with client engagement and project leadership to deliver innovative and sustainable water solutions.

Major Responsibilities

• Direct water resource and engineering projects from planning through implementation.
• Act as technical advisor to clients on water systems, compliance, and sustainability.
• Lead business development activities and preparation of bids, proposals, scopes, and budgets for consulting opportunities.
• Provide high-level oversight on design reviews, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Represent the department in industry forums, conferences, and client presentations.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to professional development across the team.
• Introduce new tools, digital systems, and best practices into client projects.
• Support development of water sector strategy documents and masterplans for clients.
• Conduct feasibility studies and due diligence for water-related investments and PPP projects.
• Provide advisory services on water infrastructure to utility companies and regulators.
• Drive integration of climate resilience and ESG principles into water projects.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil/Water/Environmental Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer/Professional registration (PE, CEng, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with water modeling software and digital engineering tools.

Experience

• 10+ years of consulting experience in water resource management and/or engineering.
• Proven track record leading major infrastructure projects for clients.
• Experience with regulatory approvals, permitting, and client representation.
