About the Role:
HS Wholesale is a nationwide distributor in the smoke and vape category, supporting a growing range of lifestyle brands. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Print Production Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on, production-focused role centered on operating our in-house print equipment, producing labels and marketing materials, and keeping print output running efficiently day to day.
This position is responsible for the production of in-house labels, stickers, window clings, signage, and other printed materials used across our product and marketing operations. The ideal candidate has real experience working with large format printers, understands print production workflows, and is comfortable troubleshooting both print quality issues and equipment-related problems as they arise. While some Adobe Illustrator knowledge is needed for updating files and preparing artwork, this role is primarily focused on physical print production and output, not pure graphic design.
What You’ll Do:
Print Production + Equipment Operation
- Operate in-house print-and-cut equipment for daily production of labels, stickers, window clings, and other printed materials
- Run and monitor print jobs from setup through final output, ensuring quality, alignment, cut accuracy, and consistency
- Load and change media as needed, adjust settings for different materials, and help keep production moving efficiently
- Troubleshoot print issues, equipment problems, and output inconsistencies to minimize downtime
- Maintain awareness of printer capabilities, material limitations, and proper production settings for each job
- Help manage daily print schedules, production priorities, reruns, and job flow
Label File Updates + Production Prep
- Update and prepare label files across multiple SKUs and product lines
- Make artwork revisions in Adobe Illustrator, including compliance updates, size changes, and versioning
- Prep files for production with attention to cut lines, bleed, layout accuracy, white/gloss layers, and material compatibility
- Ensure print files are properly formatted for efficient output and repeatable production quality
Marketing Materials Production
- Produce printed marketing materials such as stickers, window clings, banners, posters, and signage
- Assist with file setup and design edits for internal marketing assets
- Coordinate output using internal equipment or outside vendors when needed
- Help maintain consistency across printed brand materials
- Collaborate with product and marketing leads to evolve brand visuals as new products and lines are developed
Production Workflow + Organization
- Organize and maintain production-ready files, templates, and artwork archives
- Help manage print schedules, media changes, and daily production priorities
- Track revisions across multiple SKUs and product versions
- Support a fast-paced environment by balancing recurring production needs with short-turn updates
- Maintain and organize a digital archive of production-ready files, templates, and brand assets
- Adapt to fast-moving priorities while maintaining visual consistency and high-quality output
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in print production, large format printing, production graphics, or a similar hands-on role
- Real hands-on experience operating large format printers and managing print output in a production environment
- Strong Adobe Illustrator skills for editing label files and preparing print-ready artwork
- Experience prepping files for label production and large format printing
- Familiarity with Roland printers and VersaWorks is a major plus
- Strong understanding of cut lines, bleed setup, CMYK color management, media types, printer settings, and specialty layers such as white and gloss
- Ability to troubleshoot print defects, alignment issues, material issues, and printer-related problems quickly and effectively
- Highly organized and comfortable managing print runs, file revisions, and shifting production priorities
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience using a Roland LG-640 UV Printer & Cutter or other Roland print-and-cut equipment, along with VersaWorks software is a major plus
- Experience in regulated product industries (e.g., supplements, vape, health & wellness)
- Photography or photo editing skills for quick-turn product mockups
- Familiarity with BigCommerce or similar web platforms
- Prior experience in a wholesale or product-focused environment
Why Join HS Wholesale?
- Play a key role in building some of the fastest-growing brands in the space
- Collaborate in a creative environment where hands-on innovation is encouraged
- Competitive pay and full benefits package (health, dental, PTO)
- Gain exposure to end-to-end product design, marketing, and production workflows
