Private Credit Origination Analyst

Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Private Credit Origination Analyst and become a vital contributor to our deal pipeline. In this role, you will identify private credit opportunities, evaluate financial health of potential target companies, and provide support in originating, underwriting, structuring and execution of lending facilities to target companies. You will conduct research under direction of senior managers to identify target companies in specific industries, generate pitch books for target prospect meetings and continue to support all deal origination activities. Candidates will be required to do detailed research, engage directly with potential clients and arrange meetings between potential borrowers and our senior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of potential private credit investments, including cash flow modeling, profitability assessments, and risk evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models using Excel, VBA, and SQL to support investment decisions and scenario analysis.
  • Perform industry research and gather data from various sources including Bloomberg, ERP systems, and governmental accounting reports to inform analysis.
  • Assist in preparing detailed financial reports, summaries, and presentations that communicate complex concepts with clarity.
  • Requirements
  • Proven experience in financial analysis within private credit, corporate finance, or investment banking environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, data collection techniques, and financial modeling; experience with VBA is a plus.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and reporting purposes.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems like Hyperion or similar software used for financial reporting and data management.
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts including profit & loss statements, cash flow analysis, cost accounting, and governmental accounting standards.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data using quantitative research methods and analytics to support strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills for writing clear financial reports and presenting findings confidently to stakeholders.

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Engineering

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: In person/Hybrid

Compensation: Base Hourly + Deal Bonus

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
