Private Duty Caregiver

PEDIATRIC CLIENT

SCHEDULE:

Mon-Wed: 3 pm- 8 pm

Thursday: 4 pm-8 pm

(19 hours per week.)

Bright Star Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA/PCA to provide essential care and support to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, promote patient well-being, and ensure a safe environment. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care, along with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
• Monitor and document patient health status, including vital signs as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
• Support behavioral health initiatives by recognizing changes in patient behavior and reporting them appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Certified Nursing Certification preferred or prior PCA experience required
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families and staff members
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others.
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
• Must have current BLS card and Negative TB test before application submission (REQUIRED)

Weekly Pay!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
