Job Summary

The Government Relations Officer is responsible for managing and processing all government-related transactions for the company clients in Qatar. This includes coordinating with ministries, authorities, and government agencies through both in-person visits and official online portals. The role requires strong expertise in restaurant licensing, health and civil defense approvals, as well as medical center licensing and Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

Process all government transactions through relevant ministries and authorities, both physically and via official government websites and portals.

Ensure timely submission, tracking, and completion of all applications and renewals.

Stay up to date with changes in Qatar laws, regulations, and government procedures.

Handle all procedures related to restaurant licensing and renewals.

Coordinate approvals with:

Ministry of Municipality (Baladiya)

Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI)

Civil Defense Department

Process food handler health certificates, municipality inspections, and compliance requirements.

Follow up on kitchen layout approvals, signage permits, and operational licenses.

Manage the licensing and renewal of medical centers, clinics, and healthcare facilities in Qatar.

Coordinate with:

Ministry of Public Health (MOPH)

Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP)

Other relevant regulatory authorities

Handle permits related to medical activities, equipment approvals, and facility compliance.

Follow up on inspections, corrective actions, and final approvals.

Act as the main point of contact between clients and government entities.

Advise clients on regulatory requirements, timelines, and documentation.

Ensure client compliance with local laws and avoid penalties or delays.

Prepare, submit, and maintain accurate records of all applications, approvals, licenses, and permits.

Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.

Track license expiry dates and ensure timely renewals.

Ensure all client operations comply with Qatar labor laws, municipality regulations, and sector-specific requirements.

Identify risks, delays, or non-compliance issues and propose corrective actions.
