Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Probate Paralegal to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple files independently, and a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Draft probate pleadings and filings, including petitions, inventories, accounts, and closing documents
  • Draft correspondence and answer phone calls
  • Prepare and file documents with the Register in Probate and circuit courts
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and court personnel
  • Assist in trust administration matters
  • Coordinate asset valuation and marshaling
  • Prepare deeds and related real estate documents as part of estate administration
  • Maintain case management systems and track deadlines
  • Assist attorneys with hearings and client meetings
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of probate or estate administration experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of tax laws that impact estate administration
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with court e-filing systems
  • Strong drafting and proofreading skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
  • Professional communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal case management software is a plus
