Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligning with organisational needs and budget.
- Identify and select suppliers, negotiate favourable contracts, and finalise terms.
- Plan, forecast, and manage inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement, inventory, and vendor contracts using inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular audits and inventory reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.
- Build, nurture, and evaluate relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries.
- Monitor vendor performance, establish metrics, and provide feedback for improvement.
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process: purchase requisitions, orders, deliveries, receipts, and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand material requirements and forecast future needs.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement, and supply chain optimisation.
- Ensure compliance with organisational procurement policies and relevant legal requirements.
- Address and resolve supplier issues, returns, or service disruptions promptly.
