Job Summary:
The Procurement and Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and logistics functions to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery of goods and services. This role involves vendor management, price negotiations, order tracking, and coordination with internal teams to maintain efficient supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers for best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, and procurement documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Maintain an updated database of approved vendors and contracts.
Logistics:
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments (import/export), ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Manage freight forwarding, customs clearance, and transport arrangements.
- Track and monitor shipments, update stakeholders, and resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Optimize logistics operations to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.
Inventory & Coordination:
- Work closely with the warehouse and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Plan procurement schedules based on demand forecasts and project timelines.
- Support financial and operations teams with invoice reconciliation and cost control.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization in supply chain operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement and logistics or a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of import/export regulations and shipping documentation.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, Oracle).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
