Job Summary:

The Procurement and Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and logistics functions to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery of goods and services. This role involves vendor management, price negotiations, order tracking, and coordination with internal teams to maintain efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement:

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers for best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, and procurement documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Maintain an updated database of approved vendors and contracts.

Logistics:

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments (import/export), ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Manage freight forwarding, customs clearance, and transport arrangements.
  • Track and monitor shipments, update stakeholders, and resolve delays or discrepancies.
  • Optimize logistics operations to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.

Inventory & Coordination:

  • Work closely with the warehouse and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Plan procurement schedules based on demand forecasts and project timelines.
  • Support financial and operations teams with invoice reconciliation and cost control.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization in supply chain operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement and logistics or a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Good understanding of import/export regulations and shipping documentation.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
