Role Summary:

The Category Manager – Uniforms will be responsible for managing the end-to-end uniform category operations, including deal closures by explaining fabric details, pricing garments, releasing orders to production, overseeing stock levels, setting up trial stores, coordinating with production units, and ensuring timely deliveries through warehouse coordination. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills to ensure smooth execution and high client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

· Client Engagement & Deal Closure: Engage with schools and clients to explain fabric quality, design, and product detailing to close deals effectively.

· Pricing Strategy: Analyse costs and finalize competitive and profitable pricing for uniforms and garments.

· Order Processing: Release confirmed orders to production teams with clarity on requirements, timelines, and specifications.

· Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain optimum stock levels to ensure timely fulfilment and reduce excess inventory and trigger purchase order.

· Trial Store Setup: Coordinate and manage the setup of trial stores at school locations for sample fittings and selections.

· Size Trials: Organize and manage size trials for students to optimize order accuracy and reduce returns/exchanges.

· Production Coordination: Follow up with production teams to track progress and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.

· Logistics & Delivery: Liaise with the production team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of uniforms to clients.

· Reporting: Maintain records of deals, production schedules, and delivery status, and provide regular updates to management.

CANDIDATE PROFILE SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2–3 years in apparel, uniforms, or category/product management preferred.

SKILLSET:

· Strong negotiation and communication skills.

· Understanding of fabrics, garment production, and supply chain.

· Proficiency in Excel and inventory/ERP systems.

· Highly organized and detail-oriented.

· Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹66,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
