Role Purpose
Handle a wide and complex variety of procurement activities related to subcontract packages and few supplies; utilizing technical knowhow and commercial expertise, in order to meet the company’s sourcing needs.
Key Accountabilities

Review project documents and prepare procurement logs.

Prepare and segregate procurement packages separately based on the project requirements under supervision of the Senior Procurement Engineer.

Analyse and qualify subcontractor’s offer and prepare a fare comparison, in line with project requirements for small packages.

Identify and extract the complete items/packages separately from the tender documents.

Extract complete drawings, Specifications, Addendums PTA, PTC etc. for each packages separately prior to submitting the enquiry.

Refer to vendors list available in tender documents and prepare list of subcontractors for each packages prior to sending the enquiries to subcontractors.

Follow up with subcontractors for quotations, within the assigned time frame.

Review subcontractors’ quotations and ensure compliance with specifications, drawings and project requirement.

Prepare fare comparison statement based on the subcontractors’ quotations and compare with estimated budget

Negotiate with subcontractors/suppliers for technical and commercial terms and conditions for small packages prior to sending the nomination to the contract team for contract issuance.

Handle daily requests from running projects and all site requirements, Variations, Site Memos, New scopes, etc.

Ensure strict adherence of HSE policies and procedures set

Report HSE incidents/violations etc. to superiors on time

Strict adherence of legal requirements
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in engineer or related field.

Certificate in Procurement and Supply / CIPS qualification or related certification is a plus.

4-5 years relevant working experience in well-established Contracting Companies in GCC

Should have the ability to operate individually and under supervision

Good interpersonal, written, and communication skills.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize

Excellent PC skills including MS Office products and Auto CAD
Flexibility in order to adapt to varying and changing demands
