Procurement Engineer

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field) with a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, and supply chain operations within the construction, oil & gas, or manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project drawings, BOQs, and specifications to identify material and equipment requirements.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluate bids, and negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective procurement.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships to ensure quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation in line with company policies and industry standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, and project teams to align procurement schedules with project timelines.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Track procurement budgets and contribute to cost reduction initiatives.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare periodic reports for management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial) or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, international procurement, and logistics will be an advantage.
