PROCUREMENT ENGINEER (Arabic Speaker)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Procurement Engineer (Arabic-speaking) to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services for construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, negotiation skills, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, BOQs, and drawings to determine material and equipment requirements.
• Identify, assess, and qualify suppliers and subcontractors based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery capabilities.
• Request, evaluate, and analyze quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal value for the company.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and subcontract agreements in alignment with project needs and company policies.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, planning, and construction teams to ensure seamless procurement and timely delivery of materials.
• Ensure all procured materials and equipment comply with technical specifications and project standards.
• Monitor and track delivery schedules; follow up with vendors to avoid delays and mitigate risks.
• Maintain comprehensive procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation to support audits and project tracking.
• Contribute to cost control efforts and support value engineering processes to optimize project costs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or a related discipline).
• 8–10 years of proven experience in procurement within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, market dynamics, and supplier networks.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory (spoken and written).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
